Car and Truck Accident Injury
If you have been injured in a car or truck accident, be it as a driver, passenger, pedestrian or bicyclist, and regardless of who you may think was at fault, contact us as soon as possible for a free consultation. If you are unable to come to our office, we will come to your home or to the hospital.
We will get the police accident report and the medical records, and, if necessary, engage accident scene reconstruction experts to develop clear evidence of the accident scene and the cause of your injury. We will also, as may be necessary, engage medical experts to provide a clear picture of the extent and severity of your injuries.
If the accident involved a tractor trailer, we will obtain the truck logs and the black box. We will also seek to determine if the trucking company or truck driver violated state or federal law; and/or if the accident was due negligence, fatigue, driving out of-class, unbalanced load, overload or excessive speed.
We will help you file and obtain the No-fault insurance benefits. It is very important that you contact us as soon as possible after the accident as the No-Fault application must be submitted within 30 days of the accident for each person making a claim.
We will work hard to maximize the compensation you deserve for any applicable past, present and future economic and non-economic damages, such as medical expenses, lost wages, lost earning capacity, pain and suffering, disfigurement, disability, loss of enjoyment of life, interference with marital or parental relationships and wrongful death. We will try to settle the case but if that fails, the firm will aggressively pursue litigation.
Bus, Subway and Train Accident Injury
If you have been injured in a bus, subway, Metro-North, or Long Island Railroad accident, contact us immediately for a free consultation. Bus, subway and train injuries commonly result from:
- Bus, subway and train collisions
- Slipping and falling inside the bus, subway or train, as well as on subway and train platforms and at bus stops
- Getting caught or crushed in subway doors
- Sudden Stops
- Getting assaulted on the bus, subway or train
- Negligent installation or maintenance of the bus, subway or train
Contact us as soon as possible after the accident because when there is a claim against the city or other governmental entity, what is known as a “notice of claim” must be given to such entity within 90 (ninety) days of the accident, otherwise the claim may be barred forever.
Slip and Fall Accident Injury (Premises Liability)
The law requires a property owner or operator to ensure that their premises are safe for all persons who might be present on such premises. When a property owner or operator fails to adequately maintain the property or fails to warn of a dangerous condition on the property, if you slip and fall and suffer injury, you may seek compensation for your injury against the premises’ owner and/or operator.
Slip and fall accidents are commonly due to:
- A broken sidewalk
- Defective stairs, aisles, hallways, etc.
- A slippery store or other building floor
- An unmarked pothole in the street
- A broken or defective elevator
- Construction site defects and holes without proper warning signs
If you have suffered injury from a slip and fall accident, contact us so we can help you bring a claim against the property owner or operator or both. If you are unable to come to our office, we will come to your home or to the hospital.
